These last few months of 2011 (and first few of 2012) were hard on our little family. Michael had a new schedule at work but Breanne's work schedule hadn't been updated yet, and between the two of us we worked every single day of the week (all 7) without a break or a day together. The night we planned our family Christmas sing-along Michael asked for work off so that we could all be together, and I think it was the first day we'd had in a few months where we were both off.
We wanted to do something Christmas-y with just our family before the sing-along, but we didn't have time to drive to Salt Lake to see the lights at Temple Square, so we went to the Riverwoods in Orem (a mall) where they do a pretty good Christmas light display. We only had a few minutes to walk around but we all really enjoyed it and little Jane seemed a little dazzled by all the sparkles.
Then we drove over to Aunt Jacque's house for the sing-along. There were yummy things to eat and lots of music, of course!

It was a great evening and such a nice break from our demanding schedules!
