I wish I could do more for his birthday, but I did manage to pick up a couple of movies that he's been talking about for the past few months, which he liked.
The baby also made time to pick up something for Daddy:
The pacifiers aren't for Michael, of course, but he will definitely be glad they are there someday.

Last night I asked Mark if he knew what "tomorrow" was...and he totally said, "It's the 21st. It's Mikey's birthday!" I was surprised that he guessed exactly what I was thinking without me even prompting him beyond just asking the question. So...yeah, we knew it was coming, but we're sad we can't celebrate with you guys. Happy Birthday, Michael!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHAEL!! If I'd known it was your birthday, I would have started singing "Happy Birthday" to you before you left last night--because I believe it was the 21st before you left!! And Doug says he would have paid your movie ticket!!! Well, hope you have a great day, and if there is a knock on your door late tonight, it's me seeing if there's any cake leftover!
